Trio Restaurant Review

: Trio’s Narragansett Pier location is just steps from the famous Casino towers and close enough to the water to hear the waves crashing on the beach. In warm weather, the restaurant opens a huge covered patio, a good recipe for al fresco dining sans the beating sun. Guests enter the dining room through the bar, which is especially welcoming with a long communal table where big groups can gather or new friends can be made. Equally relaxed is the menu: you’ll feel just as comfortable ordering a flatbread pizza or sandwich at dinner as you would choosing the twin filet mignon or baked stuffed lobster. Among the entrées, the tortelloni and lobster is clever, using wild mushroom pasta and a limoncello cream sauce. Pair your meal with a selection from the extensive wine list; about two dozen wines by the glass are available, too. Trio always has some sort of deal going, so there’s good value here as well: a four-course seasonal weeknight dinner special is just $19.99 per person with paired wine, and appetizers are half-price (try the calamari, right off the boat in nearby Galilee) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day but Saturday.
