Stone crab claws are the star of the show, but there are plenty of other prime choices at this seafood and steak spot.

Truluck's Restaurant Review

: Known for its meaty stone crab claws, Truluck's is the kind of place where you want to tie on a bib, roll up your sleeves and do some serious chowing down. The d├ęcor may be diner-gone-upscale, but this is not diner food. Regulars know that the only way to go is to order the claws as an appetizer, and then dress them with just a squeeze of lemon, drawn butter or spicy Dijon sauce. You won't have to fight with your food, either; the claws are pre-cracked. Next, go for either the Prime New York strip or the simply grilled center-cut filet served with Parmesan mashed potatoes. Add a side of Carolina cheese grits to further indulge. Be sure to finish your meal with an order---easily enough for two---of the moist chocolate cake. Every Monday features an all-you-can-eat stone crab dinner; come prepared with an appetite. Lunch at Truluck's offers good prices and filling meals and the bar is a fine place for a martini and an interlude. The Uptown Truluck's offers brunch. The tenderloin steak and poached eggs and the french toast stuffed with peanut butter and topped with coconut whipped cream might convince you that brunch, not crab claws, is its specialty.
