Tsunami Restaurant Review

: Urban sushi aficionados have this spot to indulge in 'til well past midnight. Dim lighting and a slow groove from the DJ make it a good stop for dinner, a well-conceived saké cocktail, or a pour from one of the 35 premium sakés available by the glass or by the bottle. Try the Samuri Dance, Nigori saké with a sweet splash of pineapple juice, or the Soju Tini, a Japanese vodka with a lemon twist. Snuggle into the deep red banquette and order up some sparklingly fresh nigiri and sashimi or venture into the long list of house rolls. The Mt. Tam combines snow crab, maguro and tobiko. Nearby Alamo Square gets a nod with a namesake roll of unagi, cucumber and avocado.
