| Service comes with a smile at this infectiously jovial eatery that doles out New Mexican and El Salvadoran specialties. Yucatan fish tacos are made with soft white corn tortillas and stuffed with chile-and-lime-marinated mahi mahi and tomatillo sauce, accompanied by beans, rice and a dollop of sour cream, while the El Salvadoran pupusas have their own cult following. Specials have included chicken molé, served steaming hot and smothered with the piquant red sauce, and a Reuben paired with perhaps some of the best french fries in town. Notable baked goods are deceptively simple: chocolate chip cookies and linzer tarts. During warmer months, this eatery boasts outdoor seating at its best in one of Santa Fe’s most homey neighborhoods, where locals are almost guaranteed to run into someone they know while enjoying a bite. |
