THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tuscana Cucina Rustica Restaurant Review:
Though its hidden in a minuscule suburban mews, up-scale suburbanites have no trouble finding this Tuscan outpost. The rustic, terra cotta and brick dining room is a-buzz with their table-to-table visiting. Service may be somewhat confused by all this enthusiasm, but the food is worth waiting for. They have a fine antipasto of meats and vegetables, and featured dishes like herb-crusted halibut over goat-cheese mashed potatoes. Everything that comes from their wood-burning oven is savory---from a small pizza to a juicy veal chop, to their special brick chicken (weighted with a brick). The young owners, Evan Lambert and Andrew Feinstein, are dedicated to maintaining their food as well as their predominantly Italian wine list.
