This thoroughly modern wine bar complete with a patio overlooking a bustling pedestrian walkway and the False Creek waterway is a delightful, easy-to-reach destination. There are 150 or so wines available by the glass, most on tap, and some from the Enomatic wine dispenser. You're guaranteed to find a smart selection of intriguing wines --- both BC bottles and global labels --- sure to please everyone from the novice to the knowledgeable, from pauper to prince. Wines are chosen specifically to pair with Mediterranean-style small plates such as Vancouver’s pissaladière (onion and anchovy tart), grilled beets with Brie, the signature 24-hour pork belly with braised turnips and risotto balls, and addictive candied spiced nuts, all ideal accompaniments to wine. Staff likes to talk about wine and can set you up with a glass or two to complement your food. Lemon tarts, macarons and madeleines can assuage sweet cravings.
