The restaurant at the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club offers a wonderfully old-fashioned New England fine dining experience. Although the menu and dining space are clean and contemporary, the place has the feel of an era in which the wealthy yachted by day and men still tipped hats. Fine crystal and china adorn the tables and the service is of the quite attentive variety. The seasonal menu features plenty of local seafood, farm greens and garden herbs with dishes like Chatham scallops in a tarragon lemon emulsion showcasing the best of the Cape. Enjoy New England seafood soups, lamb shank in a sauce of local berries, and surprising twists like sugar-cured beef with a sweet pea froth. If sea views are your style, plan to come for an early supper or, better yet, come in for lunch, when the views of Pleasant Bay are at their finest. |
