 Twenty-eight Atlantic Restaurant Review: The main restaurant at the Wequassett Resort & Golf Club offers a wonderfully old-fashioned New England fine dining experience. Although the menu and dining space are clean and contemporary, the place has the feel of an era in which the wealthy yachted by day and men still tipped hats. Fine crystal and china adorn the tables and the service is of the quite attentive variety. The seasonal menu features plenty of local seafood, farm-grown vegetables and garden herbs with dishes like Atlantic halibut with sea beans and sauce mousseline showcasing the best of the Cape. There is an emphasis on fish and shellfish dishes but carnivores will also be satisfied with offerings like port wine poached beef tenderloin and duck breast with pistachio praline. If sea views are your style, plan to come for an early supper or visit at breakfast, when the vistas of Pleasant Bay are at their finest. |
