Uncle Bill's Pancake & Dinner House Restaurant Review: Visiting this place provides a snapshot of life in St. Louis. As St. Louis' best-known 24-hour breakfast house, this diner is a beloved destination for all ages at all times of the day. Generosity is definitely one of Uncle Bill’s virtues. The pancakes are tender and huge, sprawling over the sides of a plate. Belgian waffles give pancakes a run for their money in popularity, but during the wee hours the protein beckons, too. Bacon is thick-cut and surprisingly lean, and eggs are respectable. A pristine scene is not necessarily one of Uncle Bill’s virtues, though that’s due in large part to the sheer volume of meals the restaurant serves on a given day. |
