THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Union Wine Bar & Grill Restaurant Review

: With über-restaurateur Tom Kaufman behind it, Union has to be a winner. And it is, in a small sister to his original Rancho Pinot Grill kind of way. Think casual retro-cowboy rec room, with staff dressed in blue jeans and white shirts, and a seasonal menu of some two-dozen shareable small plates alongside a deep wine list and funky drinks like raspberry lemonade (Stoli raspberry vodka, fresh raspberry purée and homemade lemonade). Bites include crispy penne crusted in gremolata, pecorino and red chile flakes; quesadilla of squash blossoms, poblano peppers and avocado; arancini; and the signature pork and ricotta meatballs.
