The Upsider Restaurant Review

: David Colston, an alum of Corton and Ko, is the chef behind this casual Midtown East cathedral of American comfort food. The quasi-retro ambience and professional service make for a pleasant visit. Start with an order of fried buttermilk chicken bites ---- imagine an elevated take on the chicken McNugget. For something slightly healthier, go with the tuna tartare, served with better-than-you’d-think tapioca chips. The burger, shrouded with a dense, intrusive bun as well as a thick tomato slice and a bushel of lettuce, is best skipped; instead, try the avocado toast or the miso-encrusted salmon. Pair it all with one of the many classic cocktails or a by-the-glass selection from the mostly affordable wine list.
