Uva Rara Restaurant Review: This venue gets a lot of personal attention from its owners who present a limited but creative menu of appetizers, fish, pasta and veal. Appetizers range from the carpaccio of beef tenderloin topped with olive oil and shaved Parmigiano to prosciutto di Parma with fresh seasonal fruit. The linguini al frutti di mare is composed of mussels, shrimp, scallops, clams and fresh salmon sautéed in a white wine sauce. And the gnocchi al pesto---homemade potato dumplings with the Uva Rara’s signature pesto sauce---is a nice touch. Veal can be prepared with rosemary, portobello mushrooms or fresh tomatoes, and seafood choices include salmon sautéed in a cheery tomato, mushroom, zucchini and white wine sauce---the restaurant’s signature dish.
