THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Valley Lodge Restaurant Review:

If the snow is not flying too high, a jaunt to the Valley Lodge (formerly The Gale Street Inn) might just be enough of a weekend getaway to keep the couch potato from sprouting eyes. The ski-lodge atmosphere matches nicely with the American (and Greek) food that is quite good. There's a wide assortment of steaks, chops, fish, ribs and burgers plus a delicious bursting-with-oregano Grecian chicken and spanakopita. This place rambles on and on: levels galore, fireplaces, big bar. Actually it's quite cool. We were very impressed with the depth of the wine choices along with the price ladder, which goes from $18 clear up to an Opus One (1998) for $270. In between there are bargains (Beringer Chardonnay for $25). Service is attentive and gentle.
