Varasano's Pizzeria Restaurant Review

: "Master of the Rubik’s Cube" was Jeff Varasano's first claim to fame. At 14, he set a record (24.67 seconds) for solving the mind-bending puzzle. Bronx-born, Varasano moved to Atlanta in 1998, and soon became hungry for pizza as he knew it. So he experimented, traveled, experimented some more, and opened Varasano’s Pizzeria. While there are sandwiches to be had at lunch, the reason to come here is pizza. The super-thin crust makes folding the slice to eat it extra easy and adds markedly to the experience. Top quality ingredients such as mozzarella di bufala and aged balsamic figure prominently in the pies, which are large enough for two. Our favorite is the salumi, with thinly sliced cured meats. Or maybe the one with caramelized onions and Emmental. Lunch has been reduced to three days a week, and has its own menu, with sandwiches, half-pies and Sicilian slices. The wine list has decent choices by the glass.
