THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Venice Cantina Restaurant Review:

The team behind Tengu, Lincoln Steakhouse, Nacional and the Ivar has extended its possessions to the south with this venture in Venice. Located in the historic St. Mark's hotel, built in the early 1900s by Venice founder Abbott Kinney and just a few steps from the Boardwalk in the heart of Venice, Venice Cantina resembles more of a nightclub than a restaurant. The long list of tequilas---over 50 brands, some rare---and the two bars is certainly the reason. The eclectic Mexican-inspired décor creates a south-of-the border atmosphere to go along with the authentic Mexican specialties with which we have become familiar: quesadillas, nachos, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, sopa de tortilla, ceviche salad. The chef has added his own version of the New York steak or chicken prepared at the rotisserie, adding more flavor and less fat.
