Ventana Grill Restaurant Review: Ventana Grill offers up some of the best views around, and its sleek dining room’s ambience takes full advantage. Given that, we’d like to see more consistency in both food and service, but this is still a good bet for either a casual lunch or special occasion dinner. The menus embrace Californian and Mediterranean flavors, but they take a back seat to the strong Mexican theme running throughout, from Oaxacan cheese on the burger to poblano steamed clams to tequila-coffee tiramisu. Among our favorites are the chimichurri flatiron steak, the carnitas sopes, and the cilantro/sesame-crusted ahi. This is also a fun place in the afternoon for tapas and happy hour fare, such as chicken tacos on house-made tortillas or carne asada nachos. The full bar features drafts, a wine list appropriate for the area, and an extensive selection of tequilas. |
