| One of the most serene restaurants in the city, Verbena offers a relaxing retreat from the daily grind. Pressed flowers and herbs adorn the space along with two working fireplaces, plants, warm woods and mirrored partitions. The courtyard garden seems to be an inspiration for chef-owner Diane Forleys refined Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, with herbs in pots thriving under a tentlike cover. Orange-scented butternut-squash ravioli and spice-crusted tuna at times populate her seasonal menu. The wine list contains some treasures and the service is as warm as the place itself. |
