| Be prepared to encounter attitude at this SoHo supermodel-wannabe hangout. Though the name refers to a street in Naples that’s popular with well-heeled shoppers, don’t expect to find thick-crust pizzas or other no-frills Neapolitan staples on the menu. The chef is from Venice and the menu spans the boot, from Turin to Puglia. Pastas may include handmade black ink tagliolini with asparagus, rock shrimp and cherry tomatoes in light tomato sauce or the handmade ravioli filled with fresh ricotta cheese and spinach in a butter and sage sauce. The grilled sirloin steak “tagliata style” served with red radicchio and balsamic reduction and the lamb chop accompanied by orange flavored mashed potatoes and fresh mint oil are more substantial menu highlights. Most of the menu is edible enough, but then again, sporting this season's haircut is more important here than what you eat. |
