THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Via Italia Restaurant Review:
This pleasant if modest-looking restaurant far outshines its location, although movie-goers exiting an adjacent multiplex are more than a little grateful for the presence of Via Italia and its wonderfully authentic menu. The restaurant basically features a two-tier system by offering a standing menu of inexpensive (but excellent) pastas and pizzas, supplemented by a daily specials list that is rather costly but absolutely superb. When available, try the vitello tonnato, or cold poached veal in a creamy tuna sauce. Other triumphs include fresh pasta in sage-butter sauce, gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce, a baked sweet of blueberries and mascarpone cheese, and whatever other marvels the chef chooses to whip up that day. Wine and beer served.
