THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Viaggio Restaurant Review:
Just as the name indicates, this restaurant aims to transport diners to a faraway place---the sun-drenched, saffron-spiced Mediterranean. Atmospherically, the restaurant patterns itself most closely after the simple yet elegant dining rooms seen in Italian coastal resorts. The cuisine is a bit more diverse, however, featuring a number of dishes from Spain and other neighboring countries. Seafood lovers should try the paella or one of the seafood-pasta dishes, while indecisive diners will be satisfied by a mixed grill or a sampler platter. Viaggio is located between The Mountain Winery and Villa Montalvo, two of the South Bay’s most popular outdoor concert venues, so they offer a pre-concert menu designed to get patrons in and out as quickly as possible. Sunday brunch, however, is a relaxing affair best enjoyed on the patio and enhanced by a glass or two of Champagne.
