Vieng’s Asian Bistro Restaurant Review: Vieng's elevates the typically modest ethnic restaurant to an attractive, contemporary bistro serving the cuisines of Thailand, China, Korea, Vietnam and Japan. Stacked white river rocks line the walls, red-paper lanterns dangle from the ceiling, and zen waterfalls are positioned throughout. Start with a sampling of sushi --- the unagi roll is one of our favorites; pot stickers are quite good as well. Vieng’s Korean sizzling steak is an effortless and tasty adaptation of bulgogi. Fried rice fans shouldn’t miss the house version; it features a heaping mound of well-seasoned chicken, beef, pork or vegetables, which is enough to share. To finish your meal, the sticky rice and the walnut cake are both noteworthy. The wine selection is adequate if predictable, with a good sampling of by-the-glass options.
