The Vienna Cafe Restaurant Review: This casual Melrose café serves its own dense and hearty Austrian-style breads and rolls (rosemary, walnut, olive and sourdough). You can order breakfast omelets all day, along with sandwiches like the blackened mahi mahi panini with mango salsa; and herb chicken with Dijon-paprika mayo on rosemary bread. Executive chef Leonel Vargas’s “main eats” include a hearty serving of smoked salmon pasta with green peas in pink cream sauce. For dessert, consider homemade cappuccino or raspberry swirl cheesecake. Tea Time translates to over 20 varieties of tea, highlighted by mellow Pu Erh oolong from China and Reena’s Chai---black Assam tea spiced with ginger, green cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla. |
