Villa Mozart Restaurant Review:

An old-timer in the old city of Fairfax, this small, quaint European-styled restaurant features classic Italian dishes fashioned by chef Andrea Pace. A native of south Tyrol in Italy, Pace, who has cooked at many Manhattan and DC establishments, took over the kitchen here to feature his native cuisine created with local ingredients. Starters include surprisingly tender sautéed octopus with lemon confit and baked black olives. It may launch a prix-fixe menu or could precede an entrée for lunch or dinner. Main dishes include saddle of rabbit, assorted pastas, lamb chops and flank steak. Peruse the sophisticated wine list, and sip coffee or Champagne with dessert --- don’t skip the tiramisu.
