Villa Serena Restaurant Review: Dine in an open-air palapa, overlooking acres of verdant desert foliage and the Sea of Cortez. This establishment is typical of many one will find along Mexico’s coastline---there’s even a swimming pool for warm afternoons. Villa Serena has been offering generously portioned Mexican dishes, steaks, chicken and seafood for well over 15 years. Choose from a number of salads, including shrimp, lobster and a classic Caesar. Traditional fare ranges from nachos and guacamole to Mexican combos and enchilada entrées. Lobster plates arrive with two tails, and lobster combos are available with lamb chops, shrimp, pork ribs or steak. Choose among ice cream, cakes, cheesecake and flan for dessert. Open early for breakfast, Villa Serena hosts mariachis from lunchtime onward, with live music Wednesday through Sunday evenings.
