Vincenzo's Restaurant Review: Vincenzo's is where owner Vincenzo Mazzocca, at one time the chef at an upscale downtown hotel, cooks the food of his homeland with passion and inspired simplicity. Whether it's jumbo shrimp, mussels, capers and garlic in white wine sauce atop linguine or veal Parmigiana, the dishes draw a crowd. There are also many fine seafood choices. Mazzocca cuts the fish himself, offering each piccata-style, blackened or grilled. A nice variety of tipples are available, although there's no bar to speak of. For a true Italian pick-me-up at meal's end, opt for the tiramisu. And if you can't get enough, Vincenzo's offers jars of sauce you can take home. |
