THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Vincenzo's Restaurant Review: Vincenzo's is the proverbial diamond-in-the rough, a tiny former diner-gas station where owner Vincenzo Mazzocca, at one time the chef at an upscale downtown hotel, cooks the food of his homeland with passion and inspired simplicity. It's worth having to wait in the parking lot until a table opens up (no reservations here), but in the summer, relaxing on the patio with a glass of white wine is a much better option. Either way, you know Mazzocca's fagioli e salcisse---fat white cannellini beans with Italian sausage, loaded with herbs and whole garlic cloves---is waiting just around the corner. And, after one of his richly sauced veal entrées or beautifully fresh seafood specials (Mazzocca cuts his fish himself), you don't really mind having to go back outside to get to the restrooms in the back, gas-station-style. If you need further encouragement, have a cocktail or two. Bar service is offered, though there's no bar to speak of.
