THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Vine Restaurant Review:
Fine dining and high finance have never exactly gone hand in hand, evidenced by the dearth of adequate restaurants in the Wall Street area. Vine, located steps away from the New York Stock Exchange, aims to change that. The spare dining room has a modern feel, and the menu is sophisticated American with, as the name suggests, attention paid to wine. The menu is seasonal, but dishes like escargots in puffed pastry, sea bass with shrimp and cockles, and a nicely charred T-bone for two have become favorites. Perhaps Vines biggest draw is the subterranean vault; guests enter through the original two-foot thick steel door to a space converted into a lunch dining room and evening lounge.
