THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES The Vine Wine Country Cuisine Restaurant Review:
Chef and proprietor Justin Monson brings his passion for California's food and wine culture to this tiny beach town. Called "The Vine" by regulars, the restaurant features a casual yet sophisticated wine bar, open kitchen, lounge and semi-private dining table in the wine room. The menu, which changes seasonally, offers a selection of wine country favorites such as seared scallops wrapped in smoked bacon and served in a potato leek soup; a duck confit salad; and the signature pumpkin ravioli with hazelnuts, sage-brown butter and truffle oil. Entrées include Zinfandel-braised lamb shank with crème fraîche-whipped polenta or oven-roasted ruby red trout with haricots verts and lemon-hazelnut butter. The wine cellar includes more than 100 bottles and over 30 wines are available by the glass. The rustic wine bar is a cozy place to sip your favorite offering by the fireplace with a view of the open kitchen.
