 Virago Restaurant Review: Virago was a premier place to be seen in its old home in Nashville’s Midtown, but a move in 2010 to the burgeoning Gulch neighborhood has upped its status even more among seekers of fashionable company. The quality of the sushi is high for this part of the country, and you can order unadorned rolls or sashimi with confidence. There’s plenty of fun to be had with rolls like the Crazy Monkey, with eel, jalapeño, mango, avocado and cashews. There’s an extensive saké bar to complement the menu of nectar-like cocktails, plus a rooftop lounge with a million-dollar view of the Nashville skyline. A robatayaki section on the menu is filled with traditional Japanese wood-grilled meat entrées. |
