THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Vixi Restaurant Review:

What do Vespas and the Giants have in common? A lot now that Vixi has opened up across the street from SBC Park. The cavernous, exposed brick warehouse space is so large it boasts indoor hedges, huge canopies and a massive TV that airs Giants games. Other times Italian films are screened to complement the piazza ambience. The food is also decidedly Italian. Panini sliders, spicy cauliflower and marinated white sardines turn pub grub into something even most well traveled palates can appreciate. A stand-up burger will satisfy the less adventurous, and there is plenty for those in the middle. A well-conceived roast pork sandwich gets its base tone from smoky mozzarella and a sweeter note from the earthy fig jam. Eggplant Parmesan layers rich cheese with soft roasted eggplant in a most satisfying way while the classic roast chicken offers a plate of simplicity. Dinner service ends early unless the Giants are playing at SBC Park. In an interesting twist, Vixi is also open for breakfast, serving up espresso bar beverages and house-made pastries.
