Wahaca Restaurant Review: Wahaca was started by Thomasina Miers who won a TV MasterChef programme, then decided to open a restaurant. She actually did it, unlike many of the other hopefuls who sink without a trace. The décor is huge fun: lamps made out of large tomato tins, wooden crates filled with beer and fruit. The basement room buzzes with cheerful staff and happy eaters tucking into taquitos, quesadillas and burritos and the like. Vegetables dishes are impressive; the cooking is of the order you might hope to find in New York but rarely in London. Other locations.
