Wahlburgers Restaurant Review:

Burgers, brothers (Paul, Mark and Donnie Wahlberg) and brews form the foundation for Wahlburgers, a local joint that got its formidable start in Hingham and is named after the famous Boston siblings. It's all about a throwback to a simple era of burgers, fries and shakes. Try the O.F.D. (Originally from Dorchester) half-pound burger made with tangy tomato jam, crispy bacon, Swiss and sautéed mushrooms, or Mark's favorite Thanksgiving Day turkey burger topped with orange-cranberry sauce, roasted butternut squash and, of course, stuffing. Non-burger lovers roll up their sleeves and dig into Alma's Favorite Chicken sandwich or a natural beef hot dog, a vegetarian portobello mushroom cap or panko-crusted haddock sandwich. Be sure to order a side of golden tater tots or onion rings to share. Desserts include grilled banana fluffanutta (made with Nutella) and a fried apple empanada, but we prefer the mud pie adult frappé comprising coffee ice cream, Oreos, vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur and crème de cacao. Since its eponymous TV show debuted on A&E, Wahlburgers experiences long waits, so try to visit during off-peak times.
