 Wahso An Asian Grill Restaurant Review: The dozen curtained booths are a highlight of this markedly elegant restaurant with its high ceilings, ornate chandeliers, a 5,000-pound granite tiger that greets you at the door and Persian rugs. Just slide the gold drapes closed to shut out the frenzied servers shuffling eclectic dishes like shallot-and-thyme-roasted scallops, miso-and-soy-glazed black cod or tempura Kobe short ribs through the Asian-inspired dining room. If the prices seem slightly extravagant, take advantage of Feng Shui Friday, when deals like $5 appetizers, $10 entrées, $5 wines and $2.50 Sapporo beers are featured. For dessert, Wahso’s pastry chef prepares a dark chocolate cake with a five-spice center and a poached pear and almond tartlet with pear yogurt sherbet. |
