The Warsaw Café's comfortable, old-world atmosphere, friendly service and consistently good food have attracted concert- and theater-goers for years. Relax in the subdued colors of the room, with the witty accent of little fringed lamps on the tables, and indulge in such soul-warming specialties as borscht, pierogis and beef stroganoff or try to resist the Transylvanian casserole fit for a count. The wine list is small but reasonably priced and, for dessert, there are the linzer and ricotta tortes made under the supervision of owner Marion Jarmezski's mother, Marie. The chef sometimes offers a special three-course meal for $30.
