Waterfront Ale House Restaurant Review: This after-work spot is a draw with locals and medical staff from the nearby NYU hospital. Slightly upscale pub grub is the name of the game here, from burgers to pulled pork sandwiches to venison chili with chips, smothered grilled ahi with smashed red potatoes or beer barbecue shrimp. On the slightly lighter side you can choose a Southwestern chicken salad; a sandwich with grilled portobello mushrooms, eggplant and goat cheese; or another with warm focaccia, grilled vegetables and fresh mozzarella. There’s also, as expected, an extensive selection of whiskey and beer. |
