Swing dancing, and fried chicken served Southern-style with waffles and syrup, are the house specials at Wells in Harlem. Since it was recently renovated, we are curious if the place still feels like a dressed-up Howard Johnson’s. Regardless, the food is so fine and the folks here so friendly that you’ll ask how they cook the collard greens. Wells is open until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. A live big band orchestra swings the house on Monday nights.
