THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Hardly rustic despite its homespun name, this office building tenant exhibits the slick modern sensibilities of a Starbucks-era corporate operation. Although it's not quaint, you can still find some of Pasadena's very best pastries to accompany the good coffee, in particular a winning pain au chocolat and almond croissant. Wheatberry also turns out some quite respectable breads, tarts and cakes, while offering sandwiches---such as croque monsieur; Brie, apples and frisée on walnut-raisin bread; and roasted portobello with mozzarella, tomato and pesto on olive bread---as well.
