THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Wild Orchid Grill Restaurant Review: It came as no surprise to in-the-know locals when this North Raleigh spot became an instant hit. After all, owner-chef David Lopuszynsky had already earned a loyal following as the chef at two area country clubs. With Wild Orchid Grill, the chef continues to add to his fan base with the likes of pan-seared foie gras with figs and pomegranate molasses, macadamia-crusted Chilean sea bass, Dijon- and herb-crusted rack of lamb, and flawless crème brûlée. The cuisine may be haute but the setting is casually romantic, featuring soft lighting, white tablecloths and dramatic paintings of orchids on butter-colored walls.
