THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS William B's Restaurant Review:
The aura of a time when men wore spats, gray suede gloves and top hats is evoked in the mahogany-pillared William B's, where handsome crystal chandeliers hang from the ceiling and the striped-papered walls are adorned with gentlemen's photographs. Relax in the plush Victorian-style sitting room with beautiful floral arrangements and paintings, or the elegant lounge with a seven-seat bar. Among appetizers of note are mushroom caps filled with escargots sautéed in butter with shallots, garlic, Burgundy wine and Cognac, topped with béarnaise sauce. We like the rich lobster bisque with heavy cream, Cognac and pieces of tender lobster en croûte. Breast of chicken, veal medallions and beef tournedos Oscar, Marsala and francaise have been favorites through the years. So have traditional cherries jubilee with warm crêpes and strawberries Romanoff, both served with vanilla ice cream.
