Willy's Mexicana Grill Restaurant Review: Founded in Atlanta in 1995, Willy's Mexicana Grill now operates multiple units in Atlanta and one in Athens, all serving fresh food prepared quickly. Patrons choose a filling---grilled steak with cilantro and garlic, chipotle-barbecued pork, adobe chicken, and black beans and rice---for burritos or tacos. Salads and quesadillas also are served, so vegetarians (including vegans) may dine happily, too. Tofu gets the same orange juice-based Sinaloa marinade as the chicken breast. Guacamole is made fresh daily, as is the tomatillo salsa, which benefits from a squeeze of fresh lemon. Chipotle tomato and habanero salsas taste terrific, the latter not being wicked hot at all, and we like the deeply flavored "hot" sauce, although it's really quite mild. This location offers bottled beer.
