Winfield's Restaurant Restaurant Review: Housed in a verdant atrium complete with pools of tropical fish and cascading streams, the most enticing aspect of Winfield's is its setting. However, unlike some other hotel restaurants which rely on convenience rather than culinary caliber to reach clientele, Winfield's has both. The contemporary menu includes Belgian waffles and a variety of sandwiches for morning and midday dining. From the Asian-inspired dinner menu, dishes like a jumbo lump crab cake served with house-made avocado and tomato salsa, lemon caper aïoli, wonton crisp and mesclun greens; a crispy Peking duck spring roll with Asian slaw and sweet chili sauce; and seared filet of sole with jasmine rice, bok choy, carrots and snap peas in a ginger soy glaze just about guarantee something for everyone. There are also Italian-inspired New American options including the bone-in heirloom pork chop with pine nut rice and eggplant caponata, and a seafood pomodoro with lobster, shrimp, crab and basil. Sunday brunch is an à la carte/buffet affair. |
