Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe Upstairs Dining Room Restaurant Review: This upstairs dining room at Downtown Disney West Side started out as the East Coast version of Puck’s pricey L.A. eateries Chinois on Main and Spago. But service and the food coming out of the kitchen are not what they used to be. The upstairs Dining Room is for those who don't want to wait for a table downstairs (you can make a reservation up here), and prefer the relative calm. Menu items are more sophisticated than downstairs, with selections like roasted organic baby beet salad, Chinois-style lamb rack and spicy beef goulash with spätzle and herbs. The best values are the four-course Chef Tour or the Austrian three-course meal---with Puck’s butternut squash soup, Weiner Schnitzel and a chocolate pâté. |
