THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Wolfie Cohen's Rascal House Restaurant Review:
Bite into a corned beef or pastrami sandwich and youll understand the perpetual line of people waiting for seating. Unlike the original Miami Beach Rascal House, this spot is scrubbed and new. Waitresses still wear handkerchiefs pinned to their blouses and serve briskly, and the food is wonderful. Its as good as any deli in New York. As soon as you are seated, your waitress will immediately bring you a basket of Rascal Houses famous pumpernickel rolls and salt sticks, urns of pickled tomatoes and cucumbers, coleslaw and cucumber salad. Save room for the bagels and lox, matzoh ball soup (on the salty side) or plump, sweet blintzes. Also good: the mile-high deli sandwiches and the hearty corned beef and cabbage---just like Grandma used to make. Baked goods come fresh daily from the Rascal House bakery in Miami.
