Woo Chon Restaurant Review: This elegant, wood-paneled Korean District spot offers 20 grilled items (from pork and seafood to chicken and vegetables) as well as such standbys as sushi and kimchi. Diners in the know stay for the specialties like cuts of barbecued beef (skirt steak, tenderloin and ribs). Other entrées include slices of raw liver served with sesame salt sauce, and chilled buckwheat noodles with lean brisket and fresh vegetables in a spicy broth. The seasonal dessert menu is a hit, too---especially the persimmons stewed in cinnamon and honey. Best of all, Woo Chon doesn't close until six in the morning. |
