Woodlands Restaurant Review: Despite its stark décor and cafeteria-style setting, Woodlands has a special charm, emphasized by vivid Indian paintings. The abundant Indian-vegetarian menu begins with iddly (steamed rice and lentil patties). Or start with rasam, the traditional sour-spicy soup, a flavorful broth that will jar your taste buds awake. We like the good masala dhosa, a rice-flour crêpe stuffed with potatoes and herbs --- the South Indian answer to french fries. Check out the kids’ menu and the selection of Chinese and Indian dishes, too. Desserts are predictable: rasmalai, halvah, ice cream and payasam.
