Angelo Sosa developed quite a following over the years, mostly for his work at Yumcha, but also during his stint at Jean Georges. This time, he tries to work his magic on some Asian-inflected sandwiches. Does it work as well as the unassailable king and queen of the banh mi game, Baoguette and Num Pang? Not really. But there are some interesting sandwiches to try in the meantime in this sliver of a Hell’s Kitchen storefront. The big-ticket item is the Asian lobster roll, and although the lobster meat with fresh tarragon and shallots sounds tasty, the lobster is tough and the sandwich is a mind-boggling $14. Stick with the Vietnamese barbecue sandwich instead, or one of the clever ice cream sandwiches that boast a black caramel sea salt center.
