THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Xooro Restaurant Review

: This hip, modern churro boutique (the “x,” which pays homage to a northern Spanish dialect, is pronounced like a “sh”) is one of the first of its kind in the United States The churros here are filled with a variety of seductive creams or fancifully rolled in sprinkles, resulting in unconventional flavors like dulce de leche, tiramisu, Turkish hazelnut, mango, maple bacon, and raspberry. In Spain, churros are traditionally dipped in hot chocolate, and Xooro offers several gourmet chocolate drinks to make the experience even more indulgent. Also located at 8360 Melrose Ave., West Hollywood, 323-951-9592.

you can build your own CHURRO
by jill on Fri Apr 10, 2009 10:22 am

The store design is COOL, and the concept is AMAZING! And the best part: they sell churros, but not the usual ones these are covered, filled with a huge variety of flavors, You can build your own churro! They were so yummy, esp. the one with dulce de leche and the Jordan's with nutella. Great idea, so you can expand your dessert-hopping from cupcakes, to donuts, to Xooro!
Also they have a very nice packaging for to go. The service was great. And the best thing they open 'til 11pm, so it's a late night craving......

Xooro is a gourmet churro bakery that just opened in Santa Monica.
the flavor options are spectacular. There is plenty of variety, and so much creativity.
If you don't want the fanciness of one of their pre-designed flavor, you can build your own, taking an Original (cinnamon/sugar covered) and requesting the filling of your choice. (many flavors 2 choose)
I read a lot of really mean reviews of Xooro. They complain of the high price tag for a small churro.
And to Xooro's credit, the indeed-warm-crispy fritters that landed in our hands WERE tasty.. the creme filling a delightful change. and realizing that it's what you do with your 7 inches that counts!!!

soo much creativity ina churro bakery

I've been here twice so far. It's about 8 blocks from my apartment, so it's a great walk. Don't come here by yourself, it's easy to take one or two of each flavor this shop has to offer.
My favorites are the chocolate everywhere. This is the chocolate-lover's fantasy in a churro! And the Original with light vanilla cinnamon and sugar!!!! OMG
If you want to please anyone, introduce them to Xooro...I love this place! They need to expand quick all over the U.S. asap for all people far away...
