Yangming Restaurant Review: Yangming, with its soft lighting, busy bar and dearth of red dragons, is not your average suburban Chinese restaurant. The atmosphere and the food are much more sophisticated than one might expect away from the city in staid Bryn Mawr. Have a martini made with saké, regard the large, varied menu, and then admire the beautiful presentations. Try the delicate crab shu mei or half-steamed pork dumplings. Peking duck is available without advance notice, and don’t bypass the lemon grass saké shrimp. Desserts are also a notch above most Chinese restaurant offerings, and if you don't want fresh lychees or ice cream, indulge in the rich coffee-spiked crème brûlée. |
