Yard House at Crocker Park lures shoppers and locals alike with its eye-catching display of hundreds of kegs for its ever-changing 130 taps. The food leans toward Americana, with burgers, pizzas and pastas, but stretches across several continents as well. In fact, the diversity of the menu is one of the restaurant’s greatest attributes. You'll find Korean beef short rib tacos, kung pao calamari, a Cuban roast pork dip and a blackened chicken torta among dozens of other dishes. Start with the lobster, crab and artichoke dip served with baked pita and chips or the crispy duck wings dressed in a sweet maple soy glaze. The mac ‘n’ cheese is super savory and loaded with chicken, bacon and wild mushrooms. Spicy jambalaya, topped with a fiery Cajun cream sauce, is also a tasty main course. If you've saved room for dessert, consider the salted caramel butterscotch pudding or more typical offerings like a fresh baked brownie or warm peach apple cobbler. Happy hour brings real bargains; it runs Monday through Friday from 3 p.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday through Wednesday from 10 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
