Yebo Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: Justin Anthony, whose family also owns Ten Degrees South, has stepped out on his own with this enterprise. His wife Kelly, a designer with Anthony|Wolf, created the Safari-style décor, and his mother, Diane, drafted the menu, ably executed by chef Jorge Ortiz. While the cooking is not entirely South African, it is with that cuisine that the menu has the most fun, as in ostrich sliders and liberal dashes of peri-peri sauce that anoint various dishes. We like the phyllo triangles filled with tender and smartly seasoned shredded pork, the whole drizzled with a sweet-spicy mustard sauce. “Bunny chow,” or a South African bread bowl, may be ordered in several varieties, including bobotie, a dish of curry-scented ground meat, topped with a poached egg. For dessert, get the classic malva pudding and pair it with a glass of Klein Constantia, a sweet wine that even bewitched Napoleon. South African white and red wines are represented, as is the Mulderbosch rosé. But the list needs a Cap Classique --- South Africa's version of sparkling wine.
