| Don't be dissuaded by the outward appearance of Yo's building. Yes, it used to be a burger stand and this is not your typical sushi restaurant. There is no bar at which to sit to banter with the sushi chefs. Instead, take a look at the hundreds of photographs of their maki and temaki hand rolls before ordering at the counter. Don't be surprised if one of the five tables is already filled as they have a tremendous following for quality ingredients at bargain prices. Many wait to eat their creations like the Godzilla, deep-fried shrimp with spicy tuna, cream cheese and cucumber; or the Angry Lion King, a California roll topped with salmon and special sauce which is baked and then topped again with crab meat and tobiko. Non-raw fish eaters will be satisfied with crisp tempura, a large selection of teriyaki or a steaming bowl of udon noodles. |
